GRAYS CARPET FACTORY - AYR

Location:  McCall’s Avenue, Ayr

Duration:  5 months

To safely decontaminate, demolish, clear and hard landscape the former Gray's Carpet Factory which predominantly covered a 5 acre site off McCall’s Avenue in Ayr.  Internally the factory floors were heavily contaminated with asbestos which required immediate attention.

GCM deployed to site demolition operatives and machine operatives.  Regular liaison meetings with local authorities and surrounding stakeholders were undertaken to ensure there was minimum impact on the local environment.  Full asbestos decontamination and removal throughout was followed by a low level demolition phase to enable our full high reaching demolition.
