Location: INEOS Tanker Terminal Grangemouth
Client: INEOS
Duration: 4 weeks
To safely decommission the redundant firefighting pipework as part of a specific site upgrade, with no impact and minimal disturbance to the busy tanker loading terminal. The firefighting pipework was on all of the main live distribution overhead gantries including the sprinkler systems in each loading area. This work had to be carried out when the site was live and operational.
Our project was resourced and controlled from our satellite office in Grangemouth, deploying to site a full time site manager, GCM operatives and GCM slingers/riggers. Our team are familiar with working in this type of environment co-ordinating constantly with the clients site team and working to both the GCM specific method statements, risk assessments and lift plans as well as the clients permit to work scheme. Daily planning meetings with the terminal team was critical to performing a seamless operation.
Services Provided:
The project was completed on programme, within budget, without incident or injury and to the satisfaction of the HSE, Environment Agency and our client. This was also achieved with minimal disturbance and no impact to INEOS operations. The decommissioning was delivered to our client in a safe and professional manner.
